Haven't tried that. Only had Guinness black lager, didn't like that.

It's actually a pretty tasty beer, and unlike most Japanese beer, isn't like drinking beer soda.

This doesn't taste anything like Guinness black. That is a sad beer for folks who don't like real Guinness... this is very refreshing with some nice sweet notes.

Perfect! I'll keep an eye out for it. Your description of the Guinness black lager is perfect. I wish they would just ship us the real Guinness from Ireland and leave off everything else. But until that happens, I will just keep drinking draught and the canadian stuff...

If you prefer "real" Guinness try to get your hands on Beamish Stout it is very close to the good stuff.

The fact that Japanese beer isn't available on tap at every bar is one of history's greatest injustices.

Beamish... I believe I've only heard of it, never seen it in the real world. Generally, if I see something like that I will give it a try. Maybe I'll see if the local beer shop can order me some.

How close to porter-status is it? I'll have to get some of this if I see it.

Not nearly has hoppy as Porter, quite smooth in fact.
